Black Knight

This desk was particularly large desk, at a standard 30" wide but 78" in length and 2" width. He was a mammoth of a gorgeous Oregon black walnut slab from Goby Walnut. Due to the desks's size and deep hues of brown, reds, and black strips of grain, I had to use a matte deep black resin to accentuate the dark deep colors in the wood.

Finished with 2 coats of Rubio Monocoat to bring out the different grains to life. Underneath, I retrofitted precise metal inserts for UPLIFT sit-stand legs.
